Heart Rainbow,

Ashley, 3 years old, and ages old, drew a picture to brighten my day, because I seemed sad to her. Drawing was a rainbow with a heart and people dancing. When I asked her what the picture was named, she said "It's a heart rainbow."

Recorded on one of those rectangular box recorders, I transferred this cassette recording into a mixer, then into the computer and remixed using Sonic Foundry Acid Music.

Written in Louisville, KY in the days when I was driving back and forth to Bloomington, IN, while coordinating the National Women's Music Festival Classical Series. All songs were influenced by the women who year after year persisted toward change and awareness through Women's Music Venues as sounding boards.I find through the years the harmony returns time and time again; and more often when I think I've lost the sounds, the Muse appears stronger and more vibrant.
